Geographic Information Systems Fundamentals

This course serves as a preparatory course for the Certificate Program in Geographic Information Systems and fulfills prerequisite requirements for the Graduate Degree in Strategic Planning for Critical Infrastructures.

URBDP 302 - Introduces the concepts and skills essential to use a geographic information system (GIS) for spatial analysis and problem-solving. Focus is initially on the use, design and construction of maps. Students complete GIS tasks from data collection and spatial analysis through map production and report generation.
