Randal Root
Root is a senior consultant specializing in technical education. For the last eight years, he has provided training at both businesses and schools, such as Microsoft, the University of Washington, and Bellevue Community College. His subjects include Windows, Web, and Database programming, as well as networking and administration. Recently, he co-authored the book A Tester's Guide to .NET Programming (Apress), and is currently working on another. Randal holds several Microsoft professional certifications including MCSE, MCP+I, MCDBA, and MCAD and has worked in the industry as a network administrator and programmer since the 1980s.
Chuck Walters
Chuck founded Gamegineer Corp. through which he works game development and other software engineering contracts. Chuck's larger project work history includes 4 years at Hasbro's - Wizards of the Coast on Magic, the Gathering Online, and 7 years at Electronic Arts on The Need for Speed and MotorCity racing games with contributions to EA Sports internal libraries. He has developed games on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, GameCube, and cell phones. He is a contributing author to the Introduction to Game Development text book and Game Developer magazine. Chuck graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington in 1995.
