Gaining and sharing technological information and capability has become increasingly important in business, science, engineering, health care, and related industries. As a result, both a greater range of opportunities and a greater level of sophistication are available to those pursuing careers in technical writing/editing, documentation design and technical communication web publishing. Indeed, according to a recent industry survey, this profession continues to grow nationally—with more jobs available and rising average salaries.
In this nine-month credit program, you will learn practical applications and fundamental concepts in technical communication, including information design, software user-assistance, editing practices and software applications. You also will have the opportunity to network with leading professionals and potential job contacts.
