Kim Ducoté
Resource Stewards, LLC

Ducoté's 17 years in recycling and waste prevention includes a 13 year affiliation with one of the largest material recovery facility’s (MRF) in Washington state. Before recycling was available on every curb, she implemented innovative programs at industrial and manufacturing facilities and businesses, and continually encouraged the MRF to implement new recycling streams including: E-Waste, C&D, and Organics.

As Director of Public Affairs, she worked with rural and urban governments to implement curbside and commercial recycling programs and public education/outreach campaigns. In 2008, she was inducted into the Washington State Recycling Association's Hall of Fame.

Ducoté continues to put her energy and passion to work consulting with government agencies and businesses implementing and improving recycling programs and sustainability practices.

Susan Robinson
Waste Management, Inc.

Robinson has worked in the environmental industry for almost 25 years. After working at the non-profit Washington Environmental Council, she went to work for the City of Seattle’s Solid Waste Utility as a recycling coordinator, where she helped develop the city’s first multi-family recycling program. Subsequently she worked for a compost consulting company and for Fibres International, a large recycling company. She played an active role in implementing Salt Lake City’s first curbside recycling program and in implementing new recycling programs in the Pacific Northwest. Robinson has been managing municipal contracts for Waste Management in the Western United States for the past 10 years.

Susan Thoman
Cedar Grove Composting, Inc.

Pioneering regional environmental programs since 1986, Thoman began her career in oil spill response for Unitech of Alaska and spearheaded the delivery of clean-up equipment and supplies for the Exxon Valdez spill of 1987. In 1990, she managed the sales team at Northwest Enviroservice and oversaw chemical and solid waste contracts for a wide range of public and private companies. Thoman later became the Director of Corporate Training for Philip Services, Inc. After starting her own training business, Thoman joined the management team of Evergreen Recycling in 1999 and handled solid waste recycling for the LaFarge and Nevada Cement plants. In 2001, she managed the technical sales and service team at Emerald Recycling, a leading solvent recycling and alternative fuel facility. Since 2004 Thoman has led the PR, marketing and outreach efforts for Cedar Grove Composting.
