Program Overview
Today's companies are increasingly turning to HR as a strategic partner integral to the success of the enterprise. As an HR professional, you are expected to counsel and advise management on employee relations and strategic planning as well as understand the nuts and bolts of staffing, training and staff development, compensation, reward systems, performance management, and benefits.
This program, designed for human resource professionals with at least two years experience, addresses how the various HR disciplines can be integrated to address strategic issues of workplace effectiveness. Courses involve the practical application of concepts to your workplace, through the use of case studies, simulations, role playing, team exercises, coaching and projects.
Courses cover major areas of human resources, and serve as a foundation
for passing the certification test in human resources. This program is not, however, a review course for the Professional Human Resource (PHR) exam. HR professionals representing major organizations including Starbucks, Boeing, Group Health and Microsoft have helped design the program.
